Empty

Today is the first of the month and a City Daily Photo theme day, this month’s theme being “Empty”. Click here to view thumbnails for all participants.

The subject of today’s photo is a shot i took in January 2009 when the Craigborne Dam in the Coal River Valley, East of Hoabrt was declared empty. The original river bed and an old bridge that crossed the river were visible as the water level dropped.

Today things have changed thanks to some healthy winter rainfall and the level is back up when i took this photo earlier in the week …

Backseat Zombies

(c)hobartdaily.com - Zombies in the back seat

Question: How many zombies can fit in the back seat of the car?  Answer: Two. I know this because this little car at Salamanca had a camera in it taking photos of people willing to sit in the back. I know too that it only fits two because three Zombies from the zombie march were trying to fit in the back for their photo.I am not sure why but

If you would like to view more pictures from the Zombie March then you can view my complete set of Hobart Zombie March by following the link or clicking the picture in the right hand task bar.

Bridges at Swansea

If it looks like the bridge has rather a lot of legs, that is because you are also seeing the legs from the bridge behind as well. The closest bridge is the old one now only used by pedestrians but the one that i prefer. It just looks more like a bridge should!
